***Oakley Rodeo***

Every year in the Brockman Family we head up to the Oakley Rodeo for the 4th of July. It has been a great tradition. Last night Kohen and I headed up with my family. It was SO fun and Kohen had a blast. He LOVED the cowboys and kept asking me if we could Cowboy again. You can't be at a Rodeo without a cowboy hat right? I found him and Addi the cuttest cowboy hats and they LOVE them. A big thanks to G-ma and G-pa Gerrard for keeping Addi over night for us.

Knotty Pine Resort 2009

Well...Kohen, Addi and myself had a BLAST of a weekend. G-pa & G-ma Gerrard invited us along with some cousins to go camping for the weekend and it was SOOO nice. They took the kids up Friday afternoon (I had the WHOLE night to myself) to Knotty Pine Resort near Heber. I met them on Saturday after work, and we all had such a GREAT time. The scenery was AMAZING the company was great, and most of all it was so relaxing. We had 4-wheelers, swimming, a park...fun walks, and the beautiful water....it was SO fun. Thank you John and Sherie for the invite. We love you!!!

Say Cheese!

They thought that is was so funny to be twins for bed. They are both wearing Kohen's under shirts. They are so fun and cute. I can't help but laugh at these little stinkers!

Strike a POSE!

Our little Addi is OBSESSED with Binky's. She had both of them in her mouth and said, "CHEESE"....that takes talent. Zach, when you get home that is your assignment...MO MORE BINKA...that is what Addi calls them.

Kohen just having fun before bath time. He loves when his BIG cousins give him their old T-Shirts. Thanks Braden....He LOVES this one.

Our Daily Pout...What a cute Face!

5 Weeks DOWN 4 to GO

We are SOOOOO Half way and I am SOOOOO ready to have my husband back. Zach has been gone for 5 weeks and we are all surviving. He is doing great working hard, and golfing every Saturday. We at home are doing great too. We have our good days and our bad ones for sure...but then who doesn't. We have had a fun summer when the sun is out. I love to take my kids to Cherry Hill. They are little water babies and LOVE it. They love to play outside and enjoy hanging out with all the kids on our street.

I must admit that having a 3 year old and almost 2 year old is VERY challenging. I often wonder where my sweet little boy went, and where Addison gets ALL of her energy. I feel like this summer has been a lot more challenging to me trying to balance everything out. They for sure are my 2 favorite people and I love them to pieces...but HOLY MOLY sometimes. I am so blessed to have family around to help out when I need, also Sandy....I would die without you. You are my saving grace. Thank you for all that you do for us as a family. We love you and your family so much. I feel so blessed to have friends that call and check on us. Jordan I LOVED hanging out with you. It felt so nice to talk to a mom that feels the same frustration as I do. You are a blast.

I for sure couldn't have done any of this without Zach. Yes, he SO far away, but at the same time he is only a phone call away. Thank you for being so patient and listening to me at 3:00 am your time. I can't wait to be back together as a family and enjoy the rest of our summer. Hopefully the sun will be here to stay.

I love my peeps so much....Zach, Kohen, Addison and Broc!

Princess Addison

Before...

During

She held SOOOOO Still....

After...

So CUTE!

I must admit, having a GIRL is so much FUN sometimes. This morning I decided to spend some one on one time with Addi and we had a blast. I put sponge curlers in her hair...I actually got 7 in. Then we decided to paint her toenails pretty pink and she LOVED it. She walked around with the curlers in her hair saying,"PRETTY"....she is a hand full but at least she is a CUTE one. We both had a good time...I am so glad that I was blessed to have a son and a daughter, it is so fun to bond with each of them in such different ways! Thanks for the great morning Addi..I LOVE you!

My Garden!

Yes that is right MY garden! I had this great idea along with our favorite neighbors Kris and Sandy to grow a garden. Sandy makes the BEST pickles Zach and I have ever had...the problem is they didn't have enough room for all of the pickling cucumbers. We I of course volunteered our lovely dirt in the back yard to plant pickling cucumbers....poor Zach got stuck doing all of the hard work before he left! I am happy to report that they are doing great...and I have loved taking care of them. We are excited to try some YUMMY pickles soon!

Perfect Sunday

Today we had such a fun day! We took the kiddies along with some of my siblings....Kim, Blaine and Jared with their kids and our fun Grandma Betty....and went along the trail behind Lagoon. It was BEAUTIFUL, shaddy, nice weather...the kids had so much fun riding bikes and scooters. We even met a friend along the way...NICK....his hair says it all!

As a MOM

What is my favorite part of the day: Right after bath time. My kids are fed, full of energy...smell so good, HAPPY and are ready for a full day.

Least Favorite Part of the day: I would say before dinner time. Trying to figure out what we are going to eat. My kids are so tired and ornery...I am tired and ornery too.

Proudest Moment: This one is hard. I am always proud of my kids, but I love when people stop me in a store and tell me how cute my kids are. Addi never meets a stranger. She talks and waves to everyone. Kohen is more shy, but sometimes will follow his sister. I LOVE when Kohen teaches Addi the primary songs. He gets SOOO excited to sing them to her, and when she sings them back to him..it makes me SO happy!

My biggest challenge as a mother: Working full time, balancing my time between both of them and having Zach travel.

Biggest Oooops/Embarrassing moment: When we are going ANYWHERE and Addi will say, "Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit"...you get the picture....guess I need to work on that one.

Thing I said I would never do or say: I NEVER thought I would drive a minivan...and I LOVE it. I always hated when I would ask my mom something and she would say,"because I said so." I swore I would never say that.

What am I looking forward to: Watching my kids grow and change. I am looking forward to the next phase in life. Being a stay at home mom. Having Zach graduate and moving to Egypt. I LOVE being a mom. It is by far the most challenging thing I have ever done, but yet the most rewarding. Nothing is better than a sweet kiss or hearing those words that I will always cherish...I LOVE you. I can't imagine taking this journey with anyone other than Zach. He is an amazing dad and I love him so much. My kiddies are my little side kicks and best buds. I love you KoKo and Addi.
