FaLL

Fall is in the air..I LOVE it. The leaves are changing, the weather is perfect and everyone is getting in the mood for fall. I love when I drive down the street in my neighborhood, people have fall and Halloween decorations out. I love the smells of the sweet candles, fresh pumpkin bread, the crisp air, and the cheery people around me...I hope that you all enjoy your FaLL Season...

ReAl MoMs

This one is for our moms..Thank you SO much for all that you have taught us...

{REAL MOMS}
I got this email the other day thought I'd share it see how true it rings!!
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PLAN TO BE GREAT MoMS,
THOSE OF YOU, WHO ARE GREAT MoMS,
THOSE WHO HAVE GREAT MoMS AND
THOSE OF YOU WHO HAD GREAT MoMS...
Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of shag carpets.
Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'
Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade... It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mom to Mother...
4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.
"The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!"
REMEMBER THAT!!
Have a great day.

LiFe Is A GiFt

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

TiReD...

Tonight I am tired. Life is hardest when we are tired. We all feel it at some point. It is just a matter of what we are tired of that differs. Some are tired of feeling sick. Some are tired of fighting addictions, or temptations, or depression. Some are tired of being pregnant, or climbed on, or pooped on, or spit up on. Some are tired of feeling lonely. Some are tired of having to get up every day and work all day to provide for their families. Our trials differ but sometimes each of us gets tired of bearing our personal cross.

Tonight I am tired. I am tired of working. I am tired of trying to keep my mind firm and positive. I am tired of driving to Salt Lake 5 days a week. I am tired of laundry, a messy house...I am JUST tired.

A co-worker asked me what I was posting about I told him I was posting about being tired. He said that was not a good thing to post about. We all get tired but we cannot, we must not give up the good fight. We must take up our cross and fight onward. The stakes are just too high. The alternative is too bleak. Heaven watches us most closely when we are tired. It is the crucial point in the game that defines us as players. What do we do when we are tired? Do we give up or do we call for help and carry on. These tired times are defining moments.

Tonight I am going to go home and tell Zach how much I love him. It is he who can make me smile through my tears. It is he who helps me bear my cross despite the weight of his own. I love that man. He is an example of strength and endurance to me. I am going to go home and give my kids lots of hugs and kisses, I miss them..I miss hearing them laugh and play with each other. I can't wait to see my cute family this evening!!!

LooKinG BaCk

Today I took Kohen and Addison back to the U of U New Born ICU to see their Primary Nurses. It was so fun for them to see Kohen and Addi. They have grown and changed so much. They were both 6 weeks early and came by emergency c-sections. They both spent a fair amount of time in the hospital.
Kohen was diagnosed with Lung Disease and was intibated on 2 different occasions. He was on oxygen for a 3 weeks and had a couple of doses of surfactant. He was born weighing 5 lbs. 4 oz and 19." He came to us on May 15. 2006... but wasn't due until June 21, 2006. We are SO thankful that he is healthy and STRONG.
Addison was born Sept 11, 2007, her due date was October 23, 2007. She came early because I got a very quick and vErY scary case of Pre-Eclampsia. She also failed a NST and a BPP. I was put on Magnesium Sulfate to bring my Blood Pressure down and also the swelling in my brain. Addison's delivery was much more critical than Kohen's, because both of us were in danger. She came in weighing 3lbs. 15 oz and 17" long. Addi was a little spit fire and only had to be on a round of antibiotics. She spent most of her time in the Low Birth Weight Center to work on feeds and getting her weight up. We brought her home at 4 lbs 8 oz. We are SO lucky to have them with us and that they are BOTH healthy and strong.
They are the best things that have happened to Zach and Me. We couldn't be more blessed to have them. They are so FUN and bring so much JOY and Happiness to us each and everyday. We are so PROUD of you Kohen and Addi. We LOVE you TONS!!!

BoReD aT WoRk

I am SO bored at work. It has been so crazy around here. I work at the U of U and we usually are a BABY Factory...I mean we have an average of 300 babies born a month..the last couple of days have been SO boring. I know as I am writing babies are being born and I will probably be running around like a chicKen with my head cut off tomorrow. Anyway, I was doing what I do BEST....BLOG StOcKinG and I came across the BLOG called Seriously So Blessed...It is HILARIOUS. If any of you other BLOG STOCKERS are bored check it out..it is a crack up..you know good Mormon humor.

I was also thinking that my LitTle Addison turns 1 on September 11! Yes, I know a great day to be born right....well her due date wasn't until October 23, 2007..but things got kind of crazy and she needed out as much as I needed her out. Zach said it well, when he said it is a sad day to celebrate something good. We are having a birthday party for her on Saturday night. It will be FuN. We LOVE to have parties with our families....anyway, that is all for now...CHEERS!
